A verifiable review instead of general disagreement
A review should distinguish three questions: whether the damage included was identified correctly, whether the restoration method is substantiated and whether the calculation is correct for the chosen task. An error at one level does not automatically invalidate every conclusion in the original report.
For each comment, identify the page, specific part, source photograph or document and the shortcoming's effect on the result. For example, a missing photograph of a fastening does not prove it was intact: establish which other data support the conclusion that it required replacement.
Materials for checking an estimate
- Complete report with annexes and original images.
- Incident date, calculation conditions and vehicle details.
- Documents about repairs, disassembly and pre-existing damage.
- A precise question: technical substantiation, cost or both.
If source data are missing, the reviewer must state that limitation. An independent calculation and critical analysis of another person's examination should be presented as parts of the work with different purposes.
